Li River, China
We have all heard about taking a slow boat to China. We took a slow boat in China, from Guilin to Yangshuo, down the Li River.
The 51-mile trip took about 3 ½ hours.
National Geographic said that it is one of the world’s top ten watery wonders. I give it a B+.
The fishermen work night and day. At night, they troll for the fish swimming in the river. During the day, they look for the ones (buying things) in the tourist boats.
Picture Cliff is the big deal here. Look closely to see nine horses.
We even saw a couple taking their marriage wows along the river (in the rain).
It was a nice day to do some work on the next poker book (which I am writing).
Yangshuo itself is actually quite pretty.
Our hotel is on the pretty Yu Long River
