Punta Arenas, Chile; Cruise Day 28

Once again we got lucky with the weather. During the middle of the night the seas calmed down, and we were able to enter Punta Arenas.

We ended up having wonderful weather, which is a relative term here. It was windy, and freezing. Our guide here said they have “three months of winter, and nine months of bad weather.”

Regardless of the conditions, I had been pointing towards our tour of Otway Sound and visiting the penguins here for months.

As I have said previously, the younger generation has cheapened the words “awesome” and “amazing.” Penguins in their natural habitat are both awesome and amazing. Poker situations are not.
