Sydney, Australia; Cruise Day 58

For years I have said that Sydney is on my short list of cities where I would live, if I could not live in the U.S. (London and Hong Kong are the other two).

I certainly was not disappointed today. We were up at 6:00 a.m. watching the sail-in; it’s one of the prettiest in the world.

Shopping is great here. I’m not talking cheap prices anymore, but the selection, quality, help and environment are top notch.

Restaurants are superb. We had Dim Sum for lunch at Palace Chinese Restaurant. It was the best I have ever had – bar none. We’ll see if that holds true next month, as I will have several more Dim Sum lunches while in Asia.

After a day of hanging in the city center, we came home via a tourist hop-on-hop-off bus, which gave us an hour ride around the city. We took in the sights the easy way. It was just right for our needs today.

Tonight, we had another great meal — this time Indian food at Zaaffran, overlooking Darling Harbour. Admittedly I am not much of an expert on Indian food, but I might be a new convert.
